Definitions
Plain-language meanings for the labels and denominators used throughout Statgami.
Game
One completed major-league game in the applicable source window. Postseason games are excluded unless a page explicitly says otherwise.
Team-game
One team's side of one game. A single game normally contributes two team-games.
Occurrence
One qualifying player, team, game or play. More than one occurrence can come from the same game when the definition permits it.
Box-score shape
A particular value or combination in a team's final line—for example 20 runners left on base or a 10-10 singles/extra-base-hit split.
Most recent
The latest qualifying event present in that page's stated source window and build, not a claim about records outside that scope.
Rarity score
A 0–100 presentation score based on observed frequency, used to rank the live board. It is not an official MLB statistic or a predicted probability.
